His hard work paid off. With the support of school staff, Stephen scored an exceptional score of 3000 on his GED exam, well beyond the average and designated ‘High Honors’ by the American Council of Testing, which administers the test. Stephen plans to register for classes at Community College of Philadelphia while continuing in a job teaching dance classes in his community. Stephen isn’t the only one experiencing academic success for the first time. Several of his classmates at The Bridge, thanks to their own hard work and the combination of a supportive, quality, therapeutic environment and an individualized academic curriculum, will attend institutions of higher learning in the coming academic year.
